Bon Jovi robbed of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination

Clearly making it into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has very little to do with popularity.
At yesterday's ceremony, ABBA, Jimmy Cliff, Genesis, The Hollies and the Stooges will each receive their well deserved induction. This honor is given out annually to inductees selected by a voting committee from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Artists are eligible to be inducted 25 years after their first recording is released.
U2, Bon Jovi Lead Forbes List of 25 Highest-Paid Musicians
Touring is the clearest way to millions in the music business these days, as Forbes’ new list of the 25 highest-paid musicians shows. U2 leads the pack with $195 million, due in no small part to their record-breaking “360″ tour, which has grossed more than $700 million over two years. Road warriors Bon Jovi were second with $125 million; Elton John third with $100 million (thanks to a 102-show tour); Lady Gaga was fourth with $90 million and a tour schedule that ran from 2009 until last month; and Michael Bublé was fifth with $70 million, also thanks to a big tour.
Jon Bon Jovi - solo?

It's a long way off, but Jon Bon Jovi is already hatching plans for August, after he and his band wrap up touring in support of their 2009 album, "The Circle," and a "Greatest Hits" set that comes out Nov. 9.
Congratulations to Global Icons!
